First Thought Commentary: Matthew 24

First Thought Commentary: Matthew 24

I’ve recently finished a commentary on Matthew 24. I’ve called it a “First Thought Commentary” because, since I’m no Bible scholar, it’s not the result of systematic exegetical research, second and third thoughts from renowned scholars who know what they’re doing, as much as it is an educated novice’s thoughts on the passages at hand. It’s simply a theological/exegetical starting point and, I would assert, a much better starting point than you might get from some who are more interested in getting front row seats for the “end times” show.

Matthew 24:1-8

Matthew 24:9-14

Matthew 24: 15-28

Matthew 24:29-35

Matthew 24:36-44

Matthew 24:45-51
