It was like a movie scene
When we turned from Beacon Street
And the Sun danced through the trees
and touched your arms
Didn’t know about your past
If you’d found your perfect match
Just Knew I’d be cast for the Part
Edge of my seat, I’m on the the edge of my seat
I’m on the edge of my seat, In the dark
And I’m waiting to see where the next line will Lead
I’m on the edge of my seat, In the dark
We took my old green Car
To the Kansas City Bar
And I saw falling star along the way
Wrote a wish in my notepad
As you folded up the map
And you started driving fast
Down the interstate
The life fades out, and the plots unfolds
And we lose ourselves in an orange glow
We brace our seats, and we let the > take control
The music drops down to diminished chords
And our heartbeat stops and the tensions soars
The thrill we seek, is the mystery of the unknown
My mind won’t rest tonight
So I get my pen and write
Watch the words solidify on an empty page
