About

Community of the Risen’s three main authors are Danny Kam, Wes Ellis, and Sarah Gordon.  They all went to school at Azusa Pacific University and love Jesus.

If you had to ask all three of them to describe Christianity you would probably get three different answers, but there are some common themes that run through all three.  First, they believe in a particular Triune God -  that is, the community of God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  They believe that Jesus came to earth, and that through his life, death, and resurrection, he taught his disciples to live a certain kind of life that embodies the Kingdom of God as witness to all the world.

Wes keep a blogspace at Living in the Kingdom where he blogs on everything from movies about Rugby to Liberation Theology.

Sarah also keeps a blog here.  She majored in Political Science and has a love / hate relationship with Rosseau, and mostly just hates John Locke.

Danny subs part-time and works part-time at In-N-Out and hopes one day he will get hired in a district where he can finally use his history credential to teach high-school or junior high history.

About the Author

Danny is a credentialed social science teacher in California, but is especially interested in students with special education (always the person first and the disability second). He is pursuing his education specialist credential at Cal State Northridge with help from President Obama who has given lots of money to teachers in residency willing to work for three years in Title 1 Schools. Please know that his thoughts are always forming and are subject to change at a moment's notice.
